Our not for profit (in South Australia) paid $10,000 for a 42Kw battery and 15 Kw inverter. When it came to install the site they say is two phase, so they need to change the inverter to a 5kw single one. Photos of the switchboard etc were sent prior to this. This is mid January 2026. The electricians wanted another $950 in cash to proceed (no invoice), maybe extra wiring from switchboard to inverter etc. Which was agreed.
At the end of the day nothing seemed to be charging the battery. No handover information about how to login to the Fox app. Some 4 weeks later when nothing had changed re charging the battery they came back and added some CT clamps. Still no charge going to the battery.. A few days later the battery came to life on the 23rd of March. By the way the CT clamps are not installed correctly. No solar showing and Home as a negative.
Questions.
1. should we get a refund of the difference of the cost 15Kw 3 phase inverter vs 5 Kw single phase and install cost.
2. What is the best way to get things sorted properly.
Thanks for reading and hope to get some sensible replies.
