Hi everyone
Could I sound some of you more knowledgeable folks out. I've just had 2 ep12s installed and there are marks all over them like in the pics.
I'm waiting to hear from fox but the installer claims it is just the powder coating not binding to the casing and just a cosmetic issue.
What do you guys think? Should I accept these batteries or insist on replacement? I'm waiting to hear from fox that this will not affect warranty though I haven't mentioned the handling.
Thanks in advance for any advice

By no means an expert, but that looks to me like they have been dropped (or stacked) and the internals have stamped the case - if as your installer says the powder coating hasn’t bonded properly to the case (in my view I don’t believe that for 1 minute), that’s also a quality issue and I would want the covers changed.
I wouldn’t accept them unless Fox agree in writing they are perfectly serviceable and warranty will not be affected.

Nope I would reject them. Would you buy a new car and accept it with dents? I would insist on installer replacing them. They are damaged.
That's totally unacceptable, powder-coating doesn't bubble, they would have been rejected in manufacture and your installers should have rejected them on opening the boxes, such cowboys.
Many thanks for input. No they have a bracket on the wall and sit on shingle which looks to be compliant with the manual. To be fair the installer generally has done a good job but for the condition of the batteries. It's useful to have a benchmark for our thoughts.
