Hi folks
After recent app updates I've struggled to find a reliable way to set battery charge from grid windows. As of today (Sunday 15th Feb) it's worse, with persistent write errors reported. What's up?
E.g.
Change battery min SOC via quick settings (20->12%), write error 44098.
Switch on a charge window in the afternoon from the grid, fails with same write error.
Also tried browsing this forum and downloaded the Energy Stats app. Same error and behaviour. So looks like an issue with the services in, I assume, the fox cloud infrastructure.
Any suggestions welcome!
Graham
Usual cause for this is that you have a schedule set, this is even worse with the new app as there is always a default schedule running even when there are no schedules.
Make sure your scheduler is disabled first, ES is the easiest to disable it - but you can also do it on the website and with the latest app by setting a 'basic' workmode.

Thanks for the reply Dave. I've seen 'disable schedules' comments but that's not matched my previous experience where, e.g. I used to be able to update the second of two charge from grid scheduled slots, without needing to switch off/disable anything.
Back to today. ES app shows nothing in charging schedule (2 blocks, 00.00 times, enable boxes not selected). FCv2 app had a rogue 'self use' 2-3.00 slot which I've deleted). Unable to set battery SOC values or set charge times with ES (same error).
Ah, but I've just found an ES -settings - inverter - manage schedules option. Nothing in there except 'enable scheduler' is selected.
And in the Fox web app, found this and disabled it: quick settings, mode scheduler, had something set for the whole day (00.00-23.59).Where did that come from? Nothing I have ever deliberately set.

The scheduler appears to get enabled by a firmware update and that stops all the other settings being done manually.
In ES go back to the settings - inverter - manage schedules and make sure the enable scheduler is switched off and you should be good to go.

Ah, that explains it, I ran through a set of firmware updates this morning. Thanks for patiently explaining this, Dave.

Hi all, so glad to read these posts as we have been unable to set charging of our batteries from the grid since last week's update. First the option disappeared from my android Samsung phone and then the option disappeared from my iPad on Saturday. Seems like this update has completely buggered my system up. Any ideas? I cannot be the only one surely?
If you were using the original charge periods rather than scheduler, have a read of this post https://foxesscommunity.com/viewtopic. ... 219#p13219and use the website to set your charge periods.SueH wrote: ↑Mon Feb 16, 2026 4:51 pm Hi all, so glad to read these posts as we have been unable to set charging of our batteries from the grid since last week's update. If you were using scheduler, this video is a really good guide to how it works now https://youtu.be/jhohbmt0U_w?si=kq7JfemL82McZVq7
