Hi,
I had solar panels, a hybrid inverter and batteries installed 18 months ago. The installation company supplied a 2 year warranty ( longer for the hardware).
I had a fault develop today and to my surprise the installer told me they no longer supply solar panels etc. They said I could pay for another company to service my system. Is that fair? What can I do now, any advice appreciated?
This might be something for small claims court, not really the remit of the normal forum posts, other than it does not feel fair for sure.
What sort of issue was your system experiencing? Can it be fixed with some rebooting of the system/simple checks of breakers etc?

Hi,
I did a Google search because the inverter was showing " G100 State 3". It suggested a reboot. I am not very technical, but there was a YouTube video which talked me through the correct order. That did get rid of the message. the inverter now shows "normal".
I also discovered that through the Fox app on my Android phone that I can update the firmware in the inverter and batteries. I didn't know that I could do that. Is that a new thing in the app? Previously I had asked the installer to do that remotely for me.
This morning there was a new update to the Fox app, which seems to have a better appearance, but again some of the options I don't understand.
My original question was really about where to get help in the future if the installer has stopped trading. How do I get repairs done....just find another Fox installer?

Here is a recent thread discussing the new FW updates via the App

It might actually help if you did perform the FW upgrades, as some of these errors go away and have been fixed.
The new App version looks good, but will take a bit of getting used to, and if you didn't use the old app much, then a learning curve.
Mostly your system should be stable, but of course issues can occur. You could reach out to some local installers, but if you need a repair in 5 years time, then they also may have moved on. Perhaps you are best to just use a wait and see, and find someone in the future when you get an issue?

From another thread:

1. settings > 0000 > safety settings > grid code = make sure this is set to G99 and not G97 by accident
or
2. your grid voltage is exceeding the 260v limit and your inverter is shutting down to prevent damage to your inverter and your local grid.
If you can confirm point 1 is configured correctly, then in the cloud reporting check on the rVolt value and check it's not going over 252v+ if it's going into the 260+ volts then this is your reason for the issue.
