Hi, I am searching for clarification on my app reports compared to what I am seeing on my electricity bills. I am really concerned my solar setup has not been installed correctly.
I had an 8.8kw inverter w/ 20 x 440kw solar panels installed 6 month ago. My electricity bills have not changed and in fact, the usage of one of the quarters was slightly higher for the same period the prior year (pre-solar panel installation).
I've had two electricians check it out and both are saying the system looks good and is generating enough power that I should be having a very low bill (if any). Unfortunately, my bills are averaging $800 AUD per quarter.
I'm happy to admin my ignorance, but I really don't understand what I am looking at on the app and wondered if anyone was able to give me a rundown on my screenshots?
The takeaway from your screenshots to me, is you are making plenty of solar, but according to graphs, exporting the lot. None of the graphs show any house load at all, so either you use very little, or something is wrong in your system.
Have you tried a full restart of the system?
What operating mode is your system running in? (home page of your app will show this)

SERIOUSLY?!?! I am so angry right now! I have attached a photo of the home page of my app as I have no idea what the operating system is. I work from home, so the majority of my power is used during the day

I have also turned the power switch to the grid off to reset the system, but nothing has changed on my app.
You need to check if the Inverter screen turned off, if yes, then that is good.AnnetteKaram wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 11:08 am I have also turned the power switch to the grid off to reset the system, but nothing has changed on my app.
When you powered it back on, what does the Inverter screen show, power being generated?
The App won't function well if the WiFi (I assume this is what you are connected by) is weak, hence it could show offline in App, but the screen on the Inverter is showing xxxx Watts being generated by the solar.
Okay, thanks for the info, I will check when the sun comes up tomorrow. There is a wi-fi booster close to the inverter, so the signal should be okay, but I will check that too. Thank you for your time and trouble-shooting suggestions.
