Firmware updates with an EPS BOX-SP
Now that we have firmware updates from the App (I don't see it yet - maybe I don't have the right firmware already in place?) I just wanted to check if there are any issues updating any of my hardware when I have an EPS box?
It occurred to me if the EPS box hiccupped during a firmware upgrade, say to the Inverter, it would remove power briefly which would not be good!
I presume the EPS box itself doesn't have firmware? I'm curious because it does have a data connection so it must have some intelligence.
Thanks generally but especially to Will for all he does for the FoxESS consumer community.

Re: Firmware updates with an EPS BOX-SP
I don't know for sure but agree there must be some firmware on the device, but as it only has a simple step function I think there wouldn't be much need for updates on it.

The inverter firmware is designed to be seamlessly upgraded, the Manager can be upgraded whilst running 'hot' and it's only the Master (which does all of the core functionality) that requires the inverter to reset and restart.
