Hello, I'm interested in how to enable smart load control for the foxess inverter H3-12.0-E. I've already seen the option in the app that this function exists, but it can't be enabled. I'm asking because I would use the excess solar energy to heat water with heaters instead of sending it to the grid. Is there an output on the inverter for controlling heaters? Or is there an external module? Thank you and all the best
Let me think out loud. The inverter or battery probably has some control output for the output of electricity to the grid. Where is this output? So if there is an output, I could connect a relay to it or run it to electronics that would turn on a contactor that would control the water heaters.
I am an electrician and I am looking for solutions.
Another solution, which is not as good but would work with less effect, is to connect the heaters to a timer and program it for a time of 12-16 hours when I usually have excess energy, so that I do not return it to the grid. In our country, the price of electricity from the grid is 13 cents and to the grid is 5 cents. So it makes no sense if the battery is charged to 100% to send it to the grid for 5 cents / kW...

It might be worth diving deep into the world of Home Assistant. Where you have a mini PC that can talk to your inverter and take readings that you can then use to program devices to do things.
It is a steep learning curve, but one that will pay off in automating your process.
