My system is
KH9.9
13.2 KW solar
EQ4800 23kw, usable 20kw.
My issue
My battery is showing full, however it wont provide power to my house when I needed it, like at night time.
This has only started happening since I signed up to amber, at the moment I can see the message on Amber saying Deactivated Curtailment .
I did report the issue with Fox, however all they did was a firmware update and the issue is still there, so I'm waiting for them to get back to me.
I have also powered off the inverter and battery and brought them back up after 5 mins , I have also gone into the settings and set the battery as active and it made no difference, I have tried to force a discharge and even tho it saves that setting, its still the same issue.
In the meantime, does anyone have any ideas on why is this happening, is it an Amber issue or could it be something else.

Same happened to me with Amber. In their testing phase to get you onto smartshift they send short work modes to test but also change settings in your inverter.
When they change max discharge current to zero under the battery section, your battery won’t discharge at all. When I changed it back to 50A all was good agsin.
Change these settings on your inverter control panel with password 0000. Go to battery and then max discharge current.

Same here with Amber. Fox KH10 inverter installed 4/12 won’t discharge when no solar so using grid
Brett head to inverter control panel as per above and change the max discharge current to 50

And noticed later Amber have tried their 5 min test to try to connect me. Still waiting on outcome but you are right Max Discharge current has changed from 50 to 0.
As I am trying to onboard with Amber have decided not to change back to 50 but see if this is fixed if Amber manage to connect.

Changed my mind. Changed to 50 and working.

I punted amber. Too many teething issues and no customer support. Went to flow energy and so much better.
Hey Dean, how do you set up your export to grid with flow and what are main advantages
45c/kwh FIT from 5:30 to 7:30 evenings. No solar FIT at other times. Electricity is 30c/kwh and daily charge $1.35 but I’m hardly using any power and will make up the daily charge with feed ins. Think I’m gonna be around $3-4 credit everyday.
They also have some price efficiency adjustments if you use power during the midday off peak times you end up paying a bit less anyway.
But best of all no bullshit like amber. Just set your own controls. I have a daily force discharge set and forget for 9900W
