Force Discharge
Evening all

On the app and web portal, I don't get the force charge or force discharge options for work mode. But I do get it on Home Assistant. That's the first thing.

Second this is that in Home Assistant, I can select force charge for the work mode and my batteries charge from the grid just fine. But if I set it to force discharge, I see the live data change on Octopus to show that I'm exporting. But then the work mode changes back to self use after 10 seconds or so.

Am I missing a step or something? Ideally, I'd like to export excess battery capacity at night just before I start charging again at 23.30. I have 30kWh of battery and I've got 55% left at the moment so it feels like an opportunity.

Thanks in advance
Andy
Re: Force Discharge
I’m guessing you have an H1 G2 inverter that has had a recent firmware update (1.61 or later) - there is a firmware bug in the latest firmware that removes your force charge/discharge options - you’ll need to message Fox and raise it with them, most users were falling back to Manager(ARM) 1.58.

On the integration, the modes are created in the integration they are not actually workmodes, kind of virtual workmodes. I’m not sure exactly why in your case but last time i jumped over the code it was because a condition had been met such as passing minsoc on grid - or you have the app scheduler set, you can’t have both running as the schedule runs in the inverter and it will override any setting you make (very likely this problem).
