Using the mobile app I've enabled regular reports but I'm not confident that what is being received is genuine, I'll explain...
Post setting them up I've received two emails from service[at]maitian-yun.com (BTW I've changed @ to [at] in this thread) with subject line of 'Real-time Report'.
First question is: Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the correct source domain for plant energy reports?
Second question: if this is correct why do they not originate from a Fox ESS/cloud domain?

This is somewhat disconcerting as it implies that Fox (FoxESS Technologies Co. Ltd.) are not adhering to their stated Privacy Policy, since that 'maitian-yun.com' domain is not covered via the policy and personal data is being shared to that third party.
I'll raise this directly with Fox-ESS and the UK ICO.
