I have had the Fox ESS app on my Android phone for a long time. A recent update now has an opening screen asking me to turn on Location and Bluetooth. Is there any advantage to doing that ( I would rather not have those on) and is it possible to get rid of the reminders every time I access the app?

I am disappointed that there have not been any replies, am I the only one to have this happen on the opening screen of the app?

I'm not an Android app user so can't really add much apart from I believe (that's the best you get with Fox) that the app supports bluetooth setup for later generations of dataloggers.
I've checked my iOS app settings and it has Location (while using) and Bluetooth enabled.

Thank you Dave, I guess I will just put up with the app asking me to turn on these services. I don't want those on just to see what the state of charge is. That is all I use the app for.

Usually with Android phones, you typically get 3 choices when you first open the app for the first time.
Typically something like this...

    				    			Typically something like this...
- Allow permant access

- Ask every time

- Block

Thanks for the help, but in my Android phone all permissions are set to off and I still get this message on the opening screen for the Fox Ess app. I suppose I just have to ignore it.
