Hello, I set a force discharge in the mode scheduler and the load for the house prior to setting the force discharge was 0.18kw. These were the settings;
16.16 - 16.20
Force discharge
20%
20%
70%
5000w (we have a 900w inverter)
All the settings were accepted and the discharge began.
Load for house was 3.8kw
Grid 0.78kw
Battery 4.33
PV 0.26kwh
My questions is why was 3.8kw being sent to the house when the actual amount needed was closer to 0.18kw?

Is this a new install or been running for many months ?
Usually if the system is installed correctly when you force discharge and see the house load increase it is because a device that switches on when they see export has seen the force discharge as excess solar and turned on - that would be things like Myenergi EDDI or an iBoost etc..

Many thanks for getting back to me. Its a new install. I think I might have worked out why it is happening - as you said, the EDDI is clicking in and using the power to heat the water. It did this yesterday and then switch off once the water was hot enough and then sent all the spare power through to the grid.
I don't have the tariff info sent up in the Fox app - do you happen to have a video on how to do that?
