Inverter & Battery Covers
Could not find much out on the market for covers, other than some highly priced folding PVC units, and did not want the look of a shed on the side of the house effect, sketched out some designs and got my local fabricator to knock up a pair of covers.
Very pleased with the quality and outcome.

Re: Inverter & Battery Covers
I'm going to keep an eye on the upcoming cable concealment covers which Fox mentioned recently. Haven't seen them on sale yet. Aren't as neat as the OP's solution, but should make things look a lot better.

Re: Inverter & Battery Covers
My friend passed that onto me when I was looking for covers.

Will not know until they are launched, but from the image it appears the inverter cover is bolted in place, which would mean the inverter has 2 tappings each side, so would assume at this point, it will only be suitable for future inverters tapped for this purpose.

Maybe wrong, only time will tell.

I think your DIY covers look better; you should put them on ebay do made to order. plus a margin.

Re: Inverter & Battery Covers
Thanks!
I was surprised there was nothing out there, I can’t be the only person looking for some external sun and dirt protection for this issue.
My fabricator is a small 2 man operation, and he had never been approached for solar before.
If anyone wants my measurements, just ask.

The only mistake I made was not to allow a gap for the cables from the battery to inverter in the top rear of the cover, I just channeled the wall to sit them flat where it passed the cover edge. The other option was to reroute them, as there was plenty of slack to come in via the left hand side.
I’ve left them completely open at the bottom of each cover.

There is plenty of ventilation, and air movement, but the reality is that you can design any size that suits.
Also there is the option to put insulation board in some areas in the battery cover to retain heat in the winter if required.
And you can have them power coated any colour you wish.

All this at well under half the price of the only commercially available option I could find.

If a company was selling them commercially, they'd probably need a markup to at least that level, just to cover all the corporate overheads & distributor cut etc.
