Any issues to having battery heating on all day (apart cost)
Hi all
Is there any downside to allowing the battery to be heated over the whole day (apart from the cost of heating)? The option talks to cheap grid rates but in mid winter, it will still be cold outside those times. I'd rather be able to get more out of my battery when needed by keeping it in more optimal temperatures than having to pay for grid because it can't supply to me properly.
Any drawbacks to that?
Anyone have any data on the cost of heating the unit?
Thanks
Alan

No, other than the power which is fairly low and it’ll keep your batteries within a decent operational zone - if you do charge with a low tariff the heat from charging will warm the pack as well so the heater won’t be on all day, just when it’s needed.
