Re: What is the maximum amount I can draw from the grid?

Great, thank you so much Dave! This is often quite a point of confusion. I don't know what the 'grid feed limit' is, but the point I'm trying to clarify is whether it is limited to under 10.5 kWh or not. I've had several people have heated arguments with me telling me that I simply cannot draw more ...

Re: Enable charge from grid button not visible

It is clearly a bug that if a charging period is disabled the battery isn't used to power the house load. If it's not a bug then they need some serious user interface redesign to explain it! I've reported it, but they haven't sent a sensible response yet. I don't think it's a bug, this is a very ...

What is the maximum amount I can draw from the grid?

Hello, A simple question really. One that has sparked a few arguments! On the KH 10.5 kWh Foxess Inverter - when the grid is available, and the house is running off the grid (i.e. the Inverter is not drawing from the batteries and the batteries are at 100%), how much can I draw from the grid? Am I ...

Re: Pulling from grid when battery is 100%

What version of Master are you using?
I had this problem as well, and it was resolved by downgrading the firmware version.

Need to sign in to the App everyday

Every single day that I use the App I have to sign in. The login period is just too short (24 hours). It didn't use to be this way, I think this started a month ago after an app update. So if I am on the Realtime Data page, for example. I open the app and I see numbers. No real indication if it is ...

Re: H1-4.6-E Firmware update

Thank you! When asking Fox to upgrade it for you, is it necessary to give out our password?

How to update Firmware

My firmware is very out of date: Inverter Model: KH10.5 Current Firmware Versions: Manager: 1.09 Master: 1.14 Slave: 1.01 I am quite technical (I am a programmer) but one thing that is quite frustrating is that I notice there seems no way for me to update the firmware myself. Is there anyway for me ...

Re: Physical connection to the Inverter

> add your cabling to the screw terminals for Pins 3 and 4 for RS485

This part I understand and can easily do. I’ve dismantled the RS485 connector previously. But can you explain what is on the other end of these wires and where does that go to?

Many thanks!!

Re: No real time data this morning

Exact same problem here in South Africa. My guess is something went wrong in Foxess’ software update last night. Hopefully they are scrambling to fix it. Battery is status offline, and no activity on the real-time chart. However looking on the inverter itself it seems like everything is fine. Update: ...

Re: Flat lining / no measurements

I knew when I read your post that you had to be right about the CT cable. Faster and easier to do myself then to call the Installers. I opened the CT connector successfully using the flat screwdriver approach. I could not believe that the red wire had completely come out of the connection. For ...

Re: Flat lining / no measurements

Yes RVolt is constantly around the 240V mark (apart from during the rolling blackout 4am-6am). What does RVolt represent - I've always wondered! While we are on that, perhaps you can also help me understand what TVolt is for? These are both cryptically named. You are right that I don't have an ...

Re: Flat lining / no measurements

Thank you. I was aware the app/cloud based website only update every 5 minutes, but one can see the information on the Inverter itself realtime though at least. The issue is for the past 36 hours Grid Consumption line graph is permanently 0 all the time. Also pGrid on the Inverter is always 0W. Any ...

Re: Flat lining / no measurements

Last night we had a rolling blackout and this drained a bit of the batteries to keep the house going. This morning I noticed some action from the PV! It seems the PV is being used to charge the batteries, but not for powering the house. Isn't that completely weird? Yesterday my batteries were at 100 ...

Flat lining / no measurements

I've had my KH10.5 and batteries for about two weeks and they've been working well. Yesterday the installer came to install the PV solar panels and finished after sunset. So had my first day testing them today. It is now 5pm the next day and I've had a full day and there has been sun on and off ...
