Re: WiFi dongle force charge issues

I sent an email to FoxESS UK service, and got the following less than useful response "Hello, All of our inverters have this function but you would have to ask your installer as it is something which is optional so sometimes it is installed and other times it is left." I gave them the serial number ...

Re: WiFi dongle force charge issues

If the unit was fitted with EPS (there are those versions with a sticker where Foxess have not installed the electricals) it should be supplied with and left with the connector - obviously if it is the non-EPS unit then it won't be supplied, you need to check that. I can understand their reticence ...

Re: H1 Replacement BACK-UP/EPS plug

Seems like I responded in the wrong thread, the message was meant to be the following: Just contacted Project Solar UK who have told me that they renamed the connector on purpose, as it not something they fit and as such "mostly redundant" I asked if they could leave the connector with the unit for ...

Re: WiFi dongle force charge issues

After any kind of glitch or reconfiguration, I find it can take half an hour or more for the wifi dongle to re-connect to the foxess cloud. Of course there's neither feedback nor control over this process, you just have to wait and hope. (I can understand not wanting to spam the servers or the ...

Re: WiFi dongle force charge issues

Just contacted Project Solar UK who have told me that they renamed the connector on purpose, as it not something they fit and as such "mostly redundant" I asked if they could leave the connector with the unit for future installations, and there answer was pretty much Nope, customers don't need that ...

WiFi dongle force charge issues

For the last few months I've been having issues with setting the Force charge via the android FoxCloud app, with the error "41203 - Operation times out" all other functions of the data logger look to be working OK. Screenshot_20240107_224115.jpg When I try to connect directly to the IP of the WiFi ...

H1 Replacement BACK-UP/EPS plug

For some strange reason my H1-5.0-E is missing its BACK-UP/EPS plug, It may be that the installers lost this or took it for some strange reason (after the sales guy told me that backup power was an option, but the installers claimed that it wasn't) I would like to get the Lights and some IT UPS's ...

Re: Potential ESP32 comms interface

Also very interested in this, It would be nice to get a Wemos D1 Mini running the communication with an off the shelf MAX485 breakout board as shown in the GitRepo. I will give that a try tomorrow, this project is my first dip into the world of RS485 ;) But I'm happy to report back any issues or ...
