Battery/ambient temp readings

Hi. As attached (from yesterday) I'm seeing battery and ambient temp readings that seem way too high - batteries are in an unheated garage and currently I've got a thermometer showing 11.2 degrees ambient but Fox saying 27 degrees. I may live in Cornwall but we have not escaped the cold snap! Many thanks for any help here.

This is one of those confusing 'lost in translation' moments.
Ambient Temperature is actually the "inner temperature of the inverter" i.e. the heat measured near the CPU & DSP 'the electronics'
The InvTemp sensor is the temperature recorded on the cooilng fans at the back of the inverter, this will rise when it is working hard.
BatTemperature is the inner temperature of the BMS and as you see this increases dramatically when it is charging, the actual cell temperature of the batteries is usually around 6-10C lower than this shows.
There are actual battery temperatures reported (but as a user you can't access them) these show the battery cell lower and upper temperatures - They really should be shown in the app and there is an open request to add it to the new app which is in development.

Its worth noting, in the Fox v2 app you can download the entire data from the inverter for select date/times and you can see the maximum and minimum battery cell temperatures.
It also shows number of battery cycles, which is quite useful!

If we download the v2 app is it a simple method to set it up and connect it to our system and retire the v1 app?

The new app uses exactly the same login details as the old one. You can have both apps "active" at the same time, you don't need to retire the older one until you're satisfied with v2.

Where in the V2 App would we be able to find this downloadable information including the battery lifecycle data as that would be very useful to know

You need to go in the "Me" section and then "Data".
Once in you need to enter the Inverter S/N and the time period you want. "Standard Way" is a dump of general data from the inverter, but you can go into the "Custom" tab and pick which you want aswell.

Very useful although could not see anything reated to battery cycling
