EV Charger Questions.
Hi, I’m new here and new to the FOXESS ecosystem.
I already posted this in the German section but haven't received any replies yet, so I’m posting it here too.
I’ve tried searching for my questions/issues here but haven't really found a clear answer.

I want to charge my car using PV surplus.
To do this, I enabled PV linking in the app and selected "Green Charging."
What exactly does "maximum discharge power" refer to? Mine is currently set to 50W (Watts?).

Just a heads-up: the RS485 interface isn't connected! That might be the root cause right there. If connected, it can link to either the inverter or the smart meter. My understanding is that the inverter (assuming it's a FOXESS model) would be the better choice?

1.) As soon as I plug the car in, it starts charging—regardless of whether there is PV surplus or not.
I expected something different; I thought the system would communicate with the cloud, know the current status, and regulate charging accordingly.

2.) It always charges at 6 amps (3-phase), even when there is more than 4.5 kW of surplus power available. I can't change this manually, either.
I assumed the data was stored in the cloud and could be analyzed there. But perhaps RS485 communication is required for this?

3.) It also drains the battery. It doesn't stop when the PV surplus runs out (RS485 issue?).

4.) I can manually switch to single-phase mode. Can't the charger do this automatically?

That’s all for now.

It would be really cool if I could tell the system: charge using PV surplus until there's nothing left,
and draw a maximum of 12 kW from the battery before stopping.
Since my car often isn't home during the day, I’d like to charge it using 12–15 kW from the battery overnight. Perhaps that can be resolved using schedules (charging energy?) – but that’s a topic for another thread.
