Unwanted discharge to Grid
Why is my battery discharging to the grid when the SoC is only 32%?
Panels are generating 3.2kW but 1.79kW are being exported to the grid?

Re: Unwanted discharge to Grid
Morning,

The image shown is a snapshot of a point in time, like a picture. So the values shown could have been temporary, and the next 5 minute refresh of the data it could have stopped exporting.

That being said, it maybe your battery is a little cold and cannot take the full charge speed, more so if it fitted externally.
Can you find out your temperature of your battery and report back.

Hi, I have put together the chart below, not sure which line is the most important

The green cellTemperatureLow controls your charge/discharge rates.

There is a chart here in the video at 5m 30s

Has your charging/export changed now a few minutes has passed?
Re: Unwanted discharge to Grid
It does seem to have stopped exporting but the panels have also dropped production due to the weather
Re: Unwanted discharge to Grid
Today isn't the best day for checking this, but I can say for certain that it won't charge the best at the low temperature it currently is sat at.

There are some settings you can check on your inverter screen if needed, that will also be in Will's video collection.

Worth checking a few out, and his "Shorts" video section
Re: Unwanted discharge to Grid
Thank you.
The battery and inverter are both in the loft so I will take a look later

All the best
Re: Unwanted discharge to Grid
Not sure if you can get this working, but you could get a firmware update if your Inverter is supported to get 5 second refresh data.

Take a look here: https://fox-ess.tech/inverter-firmware- ... cloud-app/
Will also has a video on his channel about the update process.

Bye for now.
