Smart meter install reading

Hi.
I had a foxess system installed a couple of weeks ago and today I got my smart meter installed.
My system is a 12kw solar, kh10 and 40 kw battery.

From the app, I have been generating a lot more power than I need so have been exporting.

Today once the smart meter was installed after a few hours I noticed that the INL 1 reading was 17kw (happened to coincide with 17kw that my system says I exported) and the EHL 1 reading was 0.08kw (coinciding with how much i used of the grid).

Is it possible the smart meter has been wired backwards? It looks like its counting what i and exporting as if i was importing?

I rang the electricity company and they advised i have to wait 10 days for the system to register to check but im worried if it is flipped ill get charged for my exports?

Thanks!

Who is your energy supplier?

I would be surprised if a meter was wired backwards.

Origin is the supplier.

Could something else be wired wrong given those numbers?

Do you have an online way to view submitted meter readings online?
Just to know they could be a few days behind real-time if you can check.

Looking at the meter will show you if the meter has been physically wired correctly, it is a standard wiring layout so there should be no reason for it being wrong.
The incoming supply from the DNO cut-out (main fuse) should be on the left hand pair of terminals and the feed to your distribution board(s) on the right hand pairs, the sequence left-right being:
Live in
Neutral in
Neutral out
Live out

Also what model of meter is it.
If in doubt, post a photo.

No not yet. They have said i need to wait 10 days for it to be available online hence my concern where the numbers will be in 10 days.

The other possibility I can think of is your solar CT clamp is backwards.
You said you export 17kWh, was this reading from FoxCloud2.0 App?

Do you have some pictures from the App to share?

I should have guessed you were in Aus, the EDMI meter you have is different to the ones we have fitted here in the UK. That said, I'd be surprised if the connection layout is different but you never know....

It certainly seems like your meter is reading export as import but the unknown at the moment is how Origin's back-end systems will interpret the data, it certainly does seem wrong though. The only thing I would suggest is make a noise now and get your concern registered, although that may take some patience to get past the first line of call handlers.
If you have an independent ombudsman then contacting them may be an avenue to go down if Origin are being "special".

Best of luck

Just wondering if you can pull up your meter reads online yet?

In the UK, they can be a few days before they update, could be same for you also.
