Does anyone know if Octopus has already brought in its IOG offpeak cap. They seem to now want to limit the off peak to a max of 6 hours/day which means an end to extended battery charging with home assistant .
Is there a hack for this as I understand that the window from 11.30 to 5.30 stays the same but that you can shift some of that window if you plug in your EV.
I also understand that if you plug in your car outside the window and have used the 6 hours then the rate shifts to bump charge which I guess is at 32p/kwh - that will be a shocker if as I do, I use 6 hours to charge my batteries. Net I think is that I have to wait for my second inverter to be installed as 6 hours is not enough to charge my 46kw of batteries which discharge 90% every day.

It’s been delayed, I think they realised it’s more complicated than they thought to add a ‘only charge 6 hours’ option to the app - estimates were the end of March but they did say they’d give plenty of notice and that hasn’t happened yet.
If you have solar, then you will find that the battery won't get discharged as much going forward. It will only be Winter that you will need the extra slots.
And as Dave has said, Octopus are still working this all out, I keep looking each day to find out if they have sorted this.
