Fox F5000 – daily consumption / import / export totals not showing

Hi

I’ve got a Fox F5000 (solar only, no battery). The system was installed last February and the CT clamp was added in March.

In the Fox app I can see PV production totals for the day (e.g. 19.8 kWh yesterday) and I can see real‑time / time‑stamped kW values for load, grid import and grid export on the graphs.

However, the “Consumption” and “Grid” pages show 0.00 kWh for total load, total grid import and total grid export for the day, rather than daily totals.

Is this just a limitation of the F‑series solar‑only inverters (i.e. Fox only totals PV output and not load / import / export), or is there a setting that would enable daily kWh totals for consumption and grid import/export when using a CT clamp on an F5000 with no battery?

Yes it is a limitation of Fox solar only inverters, only the hybrids store daily, weekly statistics for load, grid use etc.. the CT clamp will have given you real time usage so you can see the actual power used, but not the totals.

If you are interested in adding a home assistant and connect it to the cloud, that can take your information and aggregate it into the totals you are looking for, which will re-create all of the statistics that Fix cloud doesn't show you.

This video should help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE_6HtzcyXg, it's best to install it on a small dedicated computer, there is a product called Home Assistant Green which is a tiny box and comes with everything you need for it.

Once switched on, you download the cloud integration ('app') add your api_key and it will connect to the Fox cloud and start recording results.
