WiFi dongle
My apologies if this question has been asked previously, is there a better WiFi dongle available for the inverter, ie one that will work on 5ghz and 2.4ghz. At the moment I have had to install a seperate very old router that only works at 2.4ghz and is hard wired to my main router, it has it's own ssid (inverter) which the dongle connects to. It all works but I would rather have the inverter connected directly to my main router. incidentally my setup is in the garage and the main router is approximately 30 metres away, but the wifi signal does reach the garage albeit not at any great strength however I could put a signal booster half way.
Thanks for reading and help/advice offered
Re: WiFi dongle
All of the wifi dongles are 802.11b/g/n (2.4ghz), like you i've installed a wifi repeater and disabled the 2.4ghz band which has been very stable.

The other option is to replace it with a LAN datalogger if you have ethernet close to the inverter.
Re: WiFi dongle
As said above, go for a LAN enabled datalogger, if it’s not already, ie the WW
Then if you want reliable connectivity go for a cheap LAN over powerline kit.
Should be simple in terms of a power socket in your garage and a Ethernet cable to the datalogger.
