Is anyone getting a response from Fox Support?

Thought I would raise it on here, as right now ... Fox do not seem to be responding to any emails

I am having the heater issue with the EP11 ... and originally raised this on 17th December ( I had actually raised this issue before with them, and the flashed firmwares .. but still not fixed)

I followed up on the 19th, asking if the heater issue had been fixed, where the response was "you already have the latest version" ... whcih is 1.09 .. but believe there is newer now (1.011)

I have since sent them various screenshots of the battery heater issue (which is being discussed on this thread .. (viewtopic.php?t=1603) ... but not getting a response

Not sure if they have closed your ticket off.

If it helps you, as mentioned in another thread, I have requested upgrade of BMS firmware from v1.009 to v1.011 (or whatever is latest)

What country are you in? I am in Australia and have never had any reposnse to tickets I have raised (over 1 month ago). If you can get through, the telephone is the only way to contact them.

I am having serious worries at the level of knowledge from the Fox support person (who I am dealing with) ... sent all my graphs / screenshots showing the issue, and woke up to this response below today

The "timeframe" they have looked at 12am - 5.30am .. is when I have my batteries in "charge from grid" due to Octopus cheap time (on IOG) ... obviously, have responded advising they look at the data I have sent

I guess they took a look at your IOG Charge/Heat schedule and think everything is working fine.
Well yes, it is heating and charging to 100% SoC.

Then missing the point that the battery stops working at other times of the day, due to being cold and locking out the energy, or locks due to a heating cycle starting.

I think Support must be using all their time replying to my ticket, as I get multiple updates on it every day :D

Doris is my contact on my current ticket, and invariably it's Tristan who works on any tickets I place re firmware updates.

Now I know that by posting my tale of success, I've totally jinxed getting any further support

2nd ticket, never got anything
3rd ticket... well I await FW update

I've just this minute requested an inverter ARM upgrade and a battery BMS upgrade. Let's see if my request is more successful than yours!

Best of luck with that, you have a golden ticket for sure :P

I have finally got a reply from Fox Support, they have upgraded FW on Inverter and Battery.
The Inverter Slave is still 1.01, with current version 1.02 not sure what this does, but asked if they can look at this also.

All done! Joanna did it for me this time though, not the usual Tristan :D

Joanna emailed me this morning too, asked for Inverter SN that is in the tickets, but supplied again and will see if the Inverter slave gets upgrade.

Joanne has just emailed me to say the Inverter had been upgraded, from 1.01 to 1.01 :?

All credit to Joanne, she did email me to say that the Inverter Slave was reading as 1.02.
For some reason the Modbus is reading 1.01 as seen above, Fox Cloud 2.0 App shows the correct 1.02.

ETA: I did just perform a HA Core update, and upon reboot it is now reading correct.

Did it change anything though? :)

I've been through several "upgrade" requests now and my Slave firmware has always stayed at 1.01 weirdly (even in the Fox portal).

No idea :D

I don't have a clue what the Slave actually does in the system, runs the core OS? I have had a few FW upgrades to the Inverter and each time they leave the Slave on 1.01 until today.

Maybe @Will or @Dave know what it does.

Master and Slave are at the core of the system and look after the power flows and all of the real time events and inverter limits.
The Slave executes and follows commands from the Master and looks after core functions (such as MPPT’s) but after it’s first release it doesn’t usually see many/any version changes - Master is where the higher level of control, parameter passing, grid interaction etc.. takes places.

Manager (aka ARM) is where the highest level of commands are managed, settings, scheduler, charging periods, external communications etc..

Honestly, if I still had hair .. I would be pulling it out ;-)

Just chased Fox Support, regard my ongoing issue with heater issue and lack of discharge and "reboot", and got the below response ... I am sure they are not relooking at what has been previously discussed
