Why is my inverter set to discharge, but is still importing from the grid?

Hey folks - hope all had a nice Christmas :)

I have my KH8 inverter connected to Home Assistant, on which Predbat is running. Recently I've started seeing 'weird' behaviour, an example being today. Battery SoC is 80%, yet my system is importing from the grid at peak rate.

HA integration is the FoxESS - Modbus method.

I've tried testing, and can't work out what the issue is. I manually amended the Predbat state to Exporting. The most recent Work Mode change in HA was to Force Discharge. The inverter is saying it's in FeedIn Priority mode. However, it's importing from the grid...

Therefore, the issue appears to be with the inverter? What should I try next? Is it worth power cycling the inverter?

I don't use Predbat, so cannot comment about how that works.
What does you system show here?

Looking for Min SoC on Grid value, as this could be stopping battery use.

Now, that's a weird thing...no idea what is happening here, I think it might be the result of an automation? All this might be OK, but I don't understand what is triggering it. Any ideas? As far as I know, I set battery_min_soc to 10%

OK, figured out it's not Predbat, and it's not HA. It's the Fox inverter settings, specifically the Mode Scheduler settings. Somehow they keep turning on?

Yep that’s what it looks like, you can’t run scheduler and HA automations at the same time as they fight.

There’s a bug in the app at the moment that leaves the scheduler master switch enabled even when there are no schedules set - the net result is the inverter thinks there is a schedule set.

I believe from other users posts the scheduler can be disabled on the old V1 website and it definitely can using the Energy Stats app.

Thanks Dave - I got there in the end! See my post on another thread re Mode Scheduler.

I'll repost my question in this thread too - is there any way of removing all schedules, or does there need to be at least 1 schedule, albeit inactive?

I still have my 3 old existing schedules turned on, but the master switch if off for scheduler.

I've switched it off on the new v2 website (confirmed off in EnergyStats), as I couldn't find the switch on the old v1 website. Any idea where the option is, for my info?

I was able to do it via the Fox Cloud 2.0 app a few weeks back.

v1 website...
Device
Inverter
Operation->view
Energy flow, Work model, click blue square
The master switch is to right of the strategy period

On the V1 website it’s this switch here that enables the scheduler master switch when a schedule has been created.

Thanks - already showing as disabled :)

Argh, I still have problems...

Battery SoC is 100% right now, but importing from the grid. Min SoC on Grid is 10%, work mode is Self Use.

I'm pulling my hair out now, as I just can't work out what the issue is. I was convinced my breakthrough last night with the Min SoC on Grid was gonna fix things, but nope :(

This is my demand chart for today - something seriously wrong from around 14:00 onwards:

This is the battery SoC:

The system seems to be behaving itself right now, from around 17:10 (ish)

Is the top chart grid_ct ?

Some very wacky movements from import to export there … is it just predbat running now (no schedules)?

Nope, it's sensor.octopus_energy_electricity_xxxxxxxx_xxxxxxxxxxxxx_current_demand

Yeah, just Predbat, no schedules

Have also seen grid pull when battery should take over. Seems intermittently bouncing about.
I’ll see if I can post a pic.

And this. Drives me mad. I’m feeding the grid when I don’t need to in this one.

I’ve asked Fox to update all my firmware. It’s since my last inverter update I get this. AI says my battery firmware also needs an update.
