External Solar Edge system monitoring

Hello,
I have a Fox system and a clamp is used to get reading from my existing SolarEdge system. However, it does not record the production of this system; i.e. daily, monthly or yearly SolarEdge production. Is there anyway I could access this information please?
Thank you

Hi, if this is a solar only inverter then the Fox cloud does not maintain these statistics, it’s only the Hybrids that have full statistics available.

What many people do is to set up a home assistant (a small micro computer such as a raspberry Pi), Fox have an OpenAPI and there are applications available that gather the information from the 5 minute samples and create the missing statistics.

Will has done a video that shows how to setup a home assistant and it shows the information available https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE_6HtzcyXg

Hello dear Dave and Ian,

I took the plunge and set up the Elfin EW11. It's powered up and working and I can access http://192.168.6.121/socket.html. Inverter status is NORMAL and I can see it generates power.

1. As in the Elfin guide, I connected RS485A(marked A in yellow) to pin 4 of the inverter (H1-G2 inverter with 16 pins), and RS485B(marked blue) to pin 3 of the inverter. They are steady and not loose.
2. Completed Settings -> Communication -> RS485 -> Device ID and check the slave ID. It is set to 247

However, when I set up integration using 'Ethernet to Modbus...', using Elfin EW11 with adapter ip 192.168.6.121 I get 'Error connecting your adapter or inverter. Ensure adapter is properly configured and is correctly wired ..... '

Please see the config details and please help.
Thank you so much.

The error message is no data was received and given you have got comms working to the Elfin i’d say it was most likely that the connection to the inverter is the problem.

I’m not that familiar with the Elfin myself but looking at your settings the only comments I would make is shouldn't the default gateway be in the same subnet i.e. 192.168.6.1 (not 4.1)? Likewise your subnet mask is 255.255.252.0 (these may be correct for your network just a bit different from a simple network).

The only other thing I can see from the guide is that it says you need to restart the device after you have set it - I assume for it to implement the settings.

Hi Dave,
Thank you so much.
I restarted the device and also the inverter.
I don't know much about subnets etc.
The installer has put a tp-link near the inverter which is powered by a cable running from talktalk router. I configured Ufin to use this and this afternoon used talktalk network itself to connect to the unit and configured it. But no joy.......

What to do now...... ?
