Battery Constant Discharging during Force Charge Period

Hi guys,

I’m a newly owner of an H1-5.0-E inverter, with 4 full black panels outputting 2160wp. Attached I have a set of CM2900 and CS2900 batteries. This set allows me to not use grid electricity from 8h to 22h. I’m very happy with the installation, however there is issue/characteristic/feature which is annoying me a lot. The battery is configured to force charge between 22h and 8h, and from 22h to 23h59 allowing charge from grid also.
The problem is that the battery is discharging all night from 0h to 8h, at a rate of 122Wh. That might sound little to worry, but the thing is we are talking about 23,9% of the avalaible capacity of the battery, being spent on the less expensive tariff period, and configured to only allow charge on that period.

Here you can see the constant battery discharge during the night at the rate of 122W per hour.

Here you can find the battery force charge configurations:

Am I missing any extra configuration to preserve the battery for the period 8h to 22h?
Thank you in advance!

During the night the battery will be used to keep the inverter running, it doesn't use grid power to do this - it always comes from the the battery (or solar during the day).

The force charge option you have set will stop the batteries being used to run the house load, but it will continue to be used to keep the inverter running during night time hours.

That said 122w seems high, but it's difficult to tell because the app only updates every 5 minutes - I would normally expect to see around 70-100Wh for a 5kw H1 inverter.

The latest firmware version appears to be far more energy efficient than previous versions - check your firmware versions if they are not Master 1.54, Manager 1.57 then ask your installer to update you to Master 1.54, Manager 1.57 - that should hopefully improve things.

I'm at the 1.54 and 1.57 as you stated correctly.
However the inverter is consuming 44W, and the battery is constant discharge of 120W. During 8hours we are talking about 1kW, that is nearly 18% of my battery configuration.
The manual states that the inverter has an idle consumption of up to 3W. It would be great to understand why the inverter is not consuming just 3W, and why does the battery discharges more than 2x the inverter consumption.
