changing export to gid value

Hi, can anyone tell me how to change the export limit using the front panel on my KH10.5? I thought i had found the setting. Its set at 1300w but i regularly see much more than that going to grid, so probably not the right setting! I cant sell to grid so i thought it best to limit the export to 3.68. Which is the value i believe to keep it to g98 and make the DNO application a lot simpler. Thank you.

Grid export setting is adjusted as per my video:

Remember, you can't use the fox app to tell what you're exporting realtime as the app only updates every 5 mins it can look like you're exporting more but you're not as the inverter has to respond and change the output every second or so.

If you have an in home monitor or octopus mini these are a reliable way to monitor your export or the historical graphs in the fox app.

You might still have an issue with a G98 application with a 10.5kW inverter. The effort isn't much more to apply for a proper G99 and get a proper export allowance.

Darn. Forgot about your youtube site, Will. Trying to find an installer to take over my installation. No mcs or dno atm. It was done at the height of the nonsense, 2021 or 2022, the installers disappeared before they finished it. So i had to finish it myself. Think i have found a local company willing to do it. G99 is way too complicated for me to fill in! Just watched your vid. So easy when you know how!

No other company will be able to issue an MCS cert sadly so you will need to go down the self certification route with octopus to get export payment working. I offer a remote service to take care of your system and be there for any future updates or warranty claims. I can for a fee also help you with the G98.

Maybe the installer meant he could mcs the additional panels, not the whole thing. Which isn't much good. I have looked at your remote service before and it looks enticing. Especially to someone who doesn't know what they are doing with solar systems! It definitely warrants further thought. Thanks Will.

MCS is per install, they're not going to be able to issue a cert officially for a part existing system done by another installer officially however if they're willing to give you an MCS cert take it

He does seem rather sure he can MCS the whole thing, not just his. If he is willing to take an "unofficial" route, obviously unknown to me, then I will gladly accept the certificate!

Yes, i'd just act dumb and let him give you a full MCS cert "fingers crossed" but technically we're not allowed to issue a cert for equipment we didn't directly install. Looking forward to hearing how it all goes and finally being able to claim export payments

Export payments and the cheap overnight unit rate is why i finally caved in and had a smart meter installed. Really didnt want one. But if i can get full mcs then i guess its worth it. Even if i can't then 6.7p a unit to charge batteries overnight is a bonus. Eons ev rate. Havent got an ev! To get the tariff i just had to answer 1 question: do you own an ev? yes or no

I will have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the showroom before i purchase an ev! So, lets see how this additional panel install goes and i will absolutely let you know if i manage to get mcs on everything. Thanks for all your help. Cheers.
