Hi
My question is our battery has been 100% charged and wanted to know once it is fully charged (8kW capacity), why does this deplete from 4pm? I am assuming that once it is fully charged, thereafter what ever is coming from the solar panels should be exported to the grid? (not the battery?). From my understanding would prefer that the 100% is used for our use at night. I don't use electricity for any cooking as I have an independent gas stove. None of use the shower until after 8pm. But we are still seeing significant amounts we need to pay per month. Before we were paying around £35 per week now it is an average of around £20/week.
It looks like our panels are providing more than we need as we got 12 panels put up rather than the suggested 8, can we instead opt in to use the battery at night?
Kindly advise

Battery usage at night an option?
Too many variables to give you a good answer. Could you explain more about what is happening and what you are expecting and I’ll have a crack at clarifying for you.
