KH7 Inverter without battery CT error code 240

Hi - recently had a KH7 and PV array installed without a battery (will get a battery once the bank balance has improved!), and everything seems to be running fine, except I'm getting an error code 240 showing on the app 'Manger fail to detect the CT'.
This seems to manifest as the inverter not able to read the grid correctly, so the app/website shows that all PV generated is going to the house load, and not showing any excess going to grid.
My smart meter shows the export of excess to the grid just fine, so it seems to be doing what it is supposed to, but it would be nice to see it in the app.
I've checked the CT clamp is in the right place, in the right orientation, and the connections look good.
The installer says this is a known issue with these inverters without a battery - can anyone confirm?
Do I need to get a firmware update?
Currently showing following firmware:

Master: 1.34
Slave: 1.01
ARM: 1.28

I’m not aware of an issue with the CT clamp and non battery systems, but there aren’t that many so your installer may be correct but it is designed to work without batteries so should settle down and read the CT clamp correctly after an initial error report.

If it continues to report CT missing and not report load that is a fault - there must either be a broken cable between the inverter and clamp / or the clamp itself has gone faulty.

Your firmware is old and I would recommend getting that updated anyway, you can email Fox service or in the V2 app click Me, Contact Us, Support and raise a ticket ask to have your inverter firmware updated.

Manager 1.39
Master(ARM) 1.41
Slave 1.01

Thanks for the info.
I've requested a firmware update, so will see if that makes any difference.
If not, I'll go back to the installer to take another look at the CT.
Cheers.

Update to the firmware request.
FoxESS support applied the firmware update, and now the inverter is not working at all.
In the app it now shows a CODE-17 error: Communication failed between Master and Master via CAN interface.
The inverter shows an SCI fault, and the firmware versions for Master and Slave now show as 0.00. Manager firmware shows as 1.40.
I've contacted FoxEss support again, but currently dead in the water :(
Any advice?

Hmm that’s not good - that is a failure in upgrading the Manager firmware, Fox will need to push out the firmware again (and monitor it closely this time), theres not much you can do but wait for them to do that.

If you are getting a permanent CT not connected fault I’m not convinced the firmware will make a lot of difference but at least you can discount it - it really does sound like a broken cable or poorly made joint.

Thanks for the info Dave - FoxESS support have got me back up and running, now showing the following firmware:
Master: 1.41
Slave: 1.01
ARM: 1.40
Still getting the CT error, so have the installer coming out to look at it Friday.
Cheers
