Hi guys. My energy stats app does not display the total for anything except the ‘output energy’. How can I fix this so that I’m able to see my total grid consumption use and total energy export? Thank you.

What inverter model is this ? - if it is a solar only inverter F / T Series you only get inverter output unless you fit an optional meter/ct clamp

Hi Dave, my inverter is the F5000.
Is there any way I could maybe work out the total consumed energy from the grid using the data from the data export option?
Also, I’m not too knowledgeable on this, so would you be able to explain what a ct clamp does?
Thank you

No it's not possible, the F series are only capable of monitoring their output power which us what you see in the apps (plus string voltage and current).

If you want to see house load as well you have to fit a CT clamp (CT='current transducer') basically it measures current flowing through a cable and converts it to a signal voltage so it can be read by the inverter CT input.

When this optional clamp is installed, it is clipped to the live cable from the grid /smart meter as it goes into the house consumer unit and the other end of the cable pair goes into the meter connector on the inverter.
Once fitted the inverter can work out how much of the output power is being used for the house (load) and what is left for export - you will see more information in Energy Stats (but not daily statistics) for that you would need to export data reports to calculate your daily, weekly stats - or set up a home assistant and connect via the cloud OpenAPI as Energy Stats does - that can provide daily, weekly, monthly, etc.. statistics

This question was recently asked so I will link you that page as I listed places in the UK where you can buy the Fox CT clamps and it will show their specification. viewtopic.php?p=7309
