I would agree that's a yes to the jobs being stored locally... Octopus Home Mini also reporting zero import since just after 4pm. SoC was 78% when I looked just before 4pm.

I put in modbus 6 months ago because I couldn't handle to 5 minute polling. Then last week when they released new firmware and the app started polling every 5 seconds I was like - oh crap I wasted my money. Guess I didn't waste my money after all
Hi Guys,
I lost my Fox ESS Cloud approx at 1300 today, saying I have a battery issue; saying it is offline. I proceeded to reset the Inverter and battery and still seeing the same issue in Fox ESS Cloud. Luckily, I had just setup 'Fox ESS modbus', so checked my Home Assistant and everything was working locally as expected. I'm also exporting at 1600, so everything still working as expected
Fingers crossed Fox ESS Cloud is back tomorrow.
CheerZ..

Correct! LCD front panel confirms that the forced discharge commenced as scheduled. But I'm less confident that I will be able to amend the overnight charge parameters (it's rainy tomorrow). Maybe if FoxCloud comes back at 2am and I set my alarm clock there is a chance…
Or you could just chill for one night!cpwinder wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 4:25 pmCorrect! LCD front panel confirms that the forced discharge commenced as scheduled. Mine went offline at 13.57 today. Same issues as everyone else.

Phew that’s a relief. I did a hard reset and all up and functioning. The inverter says normal and I can see SOC. I’ve just set a forced discharge and the inverter is showing over 3Kw leaving so it must be an app thing.alexls wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 3:23 pmIt's not a you problem, it's a them problem. All my readings in the app disappeared around 1pm this afternoon. Before the crash I could see that my batteries were fully charged (a lovely, sunny day in the South of England). I can see from the Octopus app that I'm exporting around 4.7kW to the grid, so panels/inverter/etc. seem to still be functioning.
I'll have to wait until I get home from work to see what's actually crashed and if a good ole reboot will sort things out from an app/web perspective.
What with this and the App issues, seems like Fox are skipping the software testing stage again...

I just get nothing on the app. By that mark I also assume my force charge over night in mode scheduler will work.
Frustrating! I’ve had this set up since January and lots of niggly bits have come up. I’m not sure I’d recommend Fox

It’s the app that lets them down. Whenever there’s an update something goes wrong:MartyH47 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 5:52 pmPhew that’s a relief. I did a hard reset and all up and functioning. - battery warmup settings changed
- battery warm up disabled
- minSOC changed
- backup % changed
- back button disappearing
- mode scheduler toggle disappearing.
First thing I do if something doesn’t look right is check to see if there was an app update.
Well, this morning they applied the "Hong Kong" method to my message, when I said their software is c**p. So I will use the "Trump" method:
Dear friends of Fox ESS,
I love the way you keep us on our toes with your surprise updates. They inject joy in our lives!
Your software is so exceptionally good that I will recommend it to everyone in my social circle. Fiddlesticks!, I might even write to the newspapers and tell them what wonderful service providers you are!
Thank you for taking on board all our comments!

Not back yet here in the south of the UK, but I tried editing a couple of slots in the Scheduler and the changes appear to have saved ok!
Seems the communications are intermittant, it went off this afternoon the same as everyone else.
But you can see more data was sent to the Cloud until 16:37 GMT

I have just spent the afternoon following some guides and videos and have created a virtual machine on an old MacBook Pro and installed Home Assistant, luckily I have the G2-WL so it doesn't need hardware mods to connect to it and I can at least see some things going on (although the temps seem a bit irregular)
Hey who knows maybe this is the start of moving smart home devices fully over to Home Assistant
Marvelous, maybe it will be sorted before 2am on 12th.DrewXBL03 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:45 pm Same here up til 1710 after I see your post

Cannot beat a bit on HA, I have barely scratched the surface of it, but it has been most useful.
Time will tell, maybe more will fire up HA
Ours went off about 12:00 then I found an inverter software update, fingers crossed, but nothing changed still off in the Uk at 20:20
The Fox engineers are working on the servers, please be patient - it’s going to be a slow process whilst they recover the data so best to avoid checking the cloud as that will increase the load and delay the recovery.

Odd that some in the UK are online again but others are not.
I logged into the web interface first which was up. That forced an app log in which then also worked.
