I can't take advantage of the additional charging schedule off peak charging times or free electricity times outside of the normal off-peak hours as the battery continues to discharge when I enter those periods rather than charging from the grid.

I am trying to take advantage of the additional charging off peak but I am also draining my battery.

Is there a way around this?

If you set a charge period in the app for the time you want, but leave the 'charge from grid' switch off the inverter will not use the batteries and uses the grid instead. If you want to charge your batteries during off-peak set the charge from grid switch on.
