Hello from Masuria Lake District,
New installation - completed on March 20th:
- 44 x Tiger Neo JKM450N-54HL4R-V panels (PV 19.8 kWp)
- Miellec Tower 2800-7 battery (LiFePO4 cells)
- FoxESS H3-PRO-15.0 inverter
- Feeding a Bosch Compress 7000i AW 5–17 kW heat pump
Despite the unfriendly climate and relatively low PVOUT (1100), we’ve achieved nearly 90% self-sufficiency since launch. That said, the building is still unoccupied, as interior finishing is ongoing. I’m maintaining an internal temperature of around 15°C, but domestic hot water is not yet in use, and the recuperation unit with heat recovery is also not operational.
We plan to open for guests in August or September, so by the end of calendar year 2025, we should have a much clearer picture.
We’re using a two-zone tariff system:
- Peak prices apply between **6:00–13:00** and **15:00–22:00**, Monday through Friday
- Off-peak prices apply during the remaining hours and the entire weekend
This means most of our high-demand periods are covered by direct PV consumption and battery discharge. With nighttime temperatures ranging from -2°C to +2°C, the battery typically drops to around 10% capacity by 3:00–4:00 a.m.
So far, so good — but there’s definitely room for expansion.
Next season, I’m planning to add a carport/shed next to the workshop building (the one in the center) and extend the kitchen to the west side of the barn. This would provide additional roof area for future PV expansion.
Hello from Poland
Nice setup and welcome.
