Seplos Maslon 280L battery compatibility

Hi
I have a 10.5KWH hybrid inverter from Fox ess Model -KH10.5
Looking at the datasheet I see it needs minimum 85V from battery https://theecosupermarket.co.uk/wp-cont ... 0fTk3y.pdf
I'm interested in Seplos 15KWH battery - https://www.fogstar.co.uk/collections/s ... ery-bundle , however this is only 48V
Could I connect few cells in series to increase voltage above 85V to make this work? or will the BMS not work like that
Thank you

The BMS won't work like that, all of the batteries run slave firmware which communicates to the BMS using a proprietary protocol - unfortunately the KH inverters have to be used with Fox ESS batteries - that said Fox ESS have a wide range of batteries and the EP5 / EP11 series are at a good price point.

thank you for your reply. Fox batteries are at OK price point but no where near DIY or Seplos type battery.
Could I DIY a battery using individual cells and find a BMS that is compatible with Fox ess inverter?

No, not unless you have the skills to write the micro controller interface that sits on top of the batteries and communicates with the BMS as if it were a Fox battery - not impossible, just very difficult

I appreciate your help, but I have seen few videos and also on their website (seplos) they mention compatible with fox -ess

I would be very careful with that statement, get it checked - the battery you have linked to is a low voltage batteries (LV) it does not mention Fox protocol, whilst Fox ESS do make low voltage batteries they only work with other manufacturers systems such Solis

The KH (and all Fox ESS hybrids) do not work with their low voltage batteries, you must use the ‘HV’ batteries with a min voltage of 110V - more typically 200V.

Before you go down this route make sure you get guarantees that it works with the Fox ESS hybrid inverters and their HV battery connections.
