Hi, I previously had a Sofar inverter with an Sofar Amass GTX5000 battery attached. I've ordered the Fox H1 Hybrid inverter as a replacement due to not being able to get hold of my previous inverter anymore. Will my old battery be compatible with the Fox H1 inverter?

Only Fox ESS batteries will work with the Fox hybrid inverter.

There are a number of ranges to choose from the HV ranges which scale from 5 to 18kW, the ECS range which has numerous size options available from 5kW all the way to 43kWh and the EP5 which is similar in looks to your GTX5000 but it has higher voltage and almost double the discharge capability.

Oh that's not great news. Will I still be able to use the inverter without a battery connected?

Yes you can, there is a setting so it doesn't generate an alarm if the battery is missing - it'll work just like a solar only inverter, waking up with the sun and going into standby at dusk.
