Lost connection between inverter dongle and phone / computer

Hi !

We had a system installed just before Christmas - 14 panels, 10kW battery, iBoost link to immersion heater and everything is working fine - even on grey days.
As installed I could look at system data both on my phone and (in more detail) on my desktop.
That capability was lost a couple of days ago - the relevant phone and computer screens just say 'off-line'. Nothing had changed around the system that might have triggered the problem.

I've been working (remotely) with the installer to try and fault find, but as yet no success.

In order we've tried
1. Switch off computer and router for a while and then restart.
2. Remove dongle, leave for 10 minutes and then replace
3. Shut down whole system, wait ten minutes, then restart.

The red light on the dongle is flashing very quickly - appaarently it should be much slower.

Thoughts:

Is it poor wifi?
A defective dongle?

Has anything changed with your broadband, new provider / router ?

It’s unusual for a wifi dongle to stop working and not re-connect again after the steps you have taken - you can try logging into the wifi dongle and getting it to search for the routers ssid, then re-enter the password and it should connect.

Follow the attached guide from step 3 and see if that helps
