Removing meter/CT clamp for modbus?

Hi,

I'm looking for a bit of assistance please. I have a modbus to connect into the inverter (H1-5.0.E), but there's a cable coming out of the rs485 port, leading to a CT on the cable linking into the meter.

Assuming they are using the same port, is it possible/sensible to remove the existing cable and replace with the modbus instead?

Thanks for your help.

I've done everything as per instructions, modbus all wired up. Except for the usb. I cannot work out how to get the cap/cover off to access the usb port on the inverter. It's a slot that says M20 x 1.5, looks like you could put a coin in and turn it.

When I try and turn it, nothing is moving and I feel like I could be damaging it.

Is there a special tool or a knack to open this?

Thanks.

It used to be a rubber cap, so it should prise out with a bit of gentle teasing.
