Unable to see Wi-Fi network

Just had my new PV system installed. Have been trying to connect the Wi-Fi dongle to the internet however I can’t even see the dongle when I do a search. I have tried on an android, iPhone and an iPad but no joy, also tried removing the dongle and reinserting but no difference, the light just continues to flash red.
Does anyone have any ideas…..?

Ok just to double check, when you are standing near the inverter and search for wifi networks, you are not seeing the dongle wifi being broadcast something like 'W-xxxxxx' ?
If you are not seeing that using multiple devices, and have power cycled it (usually just unscrew it, remove it and plug back in) then it is likely to be a faulty dongle.
The only thing to add is that it transmits on 2.4ghz so if for any reason you are limiting your devices to search on 5ghz (very unlikely) that could be it.

No nothing like that, only my home Wi-Fi and surrounding houses, I’ve stood right next to the dongle and still no different.
Thanks for the help and advice regarding 2.4/5ghz, I will contact the installer for a replacement and hopefully that rectifies the issue.
