A new inverter option Work Mode has just appeared in the app.
I think I understand Self use, Feedin and Backup, but what do PowerStation and PeakShaving do?
Thanks.

Nothing, as yet. If you go to the inverter front panel and try to set these workmodes, you'll see they don't exist!

There is speculation they may eventually enable new feed in functionality, but no-one knows for sure and Fox aren't telling...

I found this manual, section 3 references Work Mode.

The manual appears to be for the hardware/control panel but does have the work mode options, although they don't match exactly the wording on the app that just appeared.

Settings may need changing on the hardware as well as the app before the app can record properly. Personally I'm nervous of touching the hardware or changing the app just yet, so will watch your post for enlightenment when more info is available. :)

I'm not sure I understand any of it :?
I have also found that I cannot see the usage to the house and any pull from the grid anymore, when in self-use mode.
It was much easier to understand what was happening in the previous version.
I've left it in Self use as I don't want to mess about with any of the settings.

The majority of the new settings are not actually implemented yet.

The two options you might want to use is Self-Use, this is the default and allows any solar to cover the house load, then charge the batteries and any surplus left will be exported to the grid (this tends to happen only when your batteries are fully charged).

The second option you might want to consider is Feed-in First, this covers the house load first, then exports everything else - your batteries will not be charged unless your solar generation exceeds your inverter size or and export limit - for example if you have a 5kw inverter your would have to be generating more solar than the 5kw plus any house load before the batteries would get any charge - very, unlikely.
This could be useful if you want to dedicate all your generation to export (during the high flux export tariff times for example).
