Incorrect Revenue values due to incorrect 'Sell' values

Hi All

Hands in the air to start with, this is a self-inflicted problem!

Some time ago, I changed the 'Sell' rate in the Tariff settings to £12.00 instead of £0.12 - doh! I did not notice this mistake until we started to see some very impressive 'revenue' values and then realised the error.

I could not see a way to 'reset' or correct this value* within the app or web interface, eg to enter a set value for a given point in time, to override the incorrect revenue value and wondered if anyone had any ideas or suggestion to reset or 'fudge' this value back to what it should be.

I have an idea but if anyone else thinks of a better way... What I have done is calculated the exported kW value based on the current generated output and set the 'sell' amount to 0.00. When the actual exported kWh meets the calculated monetary value shown, I'll reset the export sell back to £0.12. I realise the reported value right up to the 'date of reset' will be wrong but the 'Year' value and ongoing months should come back into sync. Does that sound about right?

* I have contacted Fox directly and apparently, they are working on a software mod to allow users to manually set/reset this value but are some way off a release date.

Thanks for reading

Cheers
Starb

You are better tracking with a spreadsheet, all other choices are close, but not accurate enough.

Also as you may notice with the incorrect tariff input a fault in the system. When your rate changes in the future, for import/export it seemingly changes all the revenue.

Let's say you export 1,000kWh in year 1 at 12p = £120
If you export the same in year 2, but at 9p = £90

So you would think it would calculate this as £120 + £90 = £230, but from what I seem to recall, it calculates back in time. You then have 2,000 kWh at 9p for the whole period, making it £180.

It doesn't seem to apply a new tariff rate from the date you input it, but applies to all previous generation rates.

Using a spreadsheet, I can input several different tariff rates if they change during the year, then apply it to individual days/months (depends on how you detailed you want to be)
