FOX ESS V2 - Energy analysis reporting issues & understanding

I have a recently installed PV plant consisting of Solar panels on the house roof, KH Hybrid inverter, EPS, a Zappi EV charger and a stack of three batteries nominal storage of 13.97kWh. It all works well, the sun has been doing its stuff and shining brightly, so we are creating lots of power for me, the batteries and the grid.

I am a bit of geek, so wanted to understand the production numbers, where they come from and how to check them.
This is where my problems started. Using the v2 portal I exported some of the data in CSV format, to see if I could reconcile and understand how the data points are recorded and used, so I picked a good week with no reported data outages -- 17/8 to 23/8/2026 and took a series of data dumps from the various sources

They were:
Dashboard\Analysis\Energy Management\Weekly - CSV export
Dashboard\Devices\KH Inverter\Energy Analysis\Weekly - CSV export
Dashboard\Devices\Batteries\Energy Analysis\Weekly - CSV export

Issues
1) First problem, nothing was downloading - the portal needs pop-ups authorising to allow data download (odd, but ok then)

2) next, all the CSV reports are organised inconsistently, some are rows per day, others column days, the days - are text not date fields, so they sort in alphabetical order, not date order - so you have to give them a simple index and out on that. After sorting, transposing - data values are signed to represent flow direction, so you need to think about this when adding/subtracting. I managed to get the data onto one Excel sheet in a sensible format.

3) I have hunted through Fox websites and forums but cannot find a data dictionary. Each Fox report seems to use a slightly different term for the same thing. The value of the data point is. good clue, so I got most, but not all.

4) Values I expected to be the same -- like battery charge & discharge -- were different in the Plant analysis from the amount reported by the Battery and the Inverter.

In the posted Excel sheet, my specific problems/ questions are

a) Under Inverter - line DP6 Load kWh - what do these figures represent? They are not the house load that is given in the Plant Analysis as TotalLoad -- and is a bigger number

b) Why do the battery and the inverter, think the charge/discharge figures are different from the plant? They must use the same data points

c) Is there a proper data dictionary for these reports?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Paul
