H3 smart inverter sockets

Just been making the connections to my H3 smart 8kW inverter with 2 problems.
1 Try as I might the plug body for the meter and BMS will not screw onto the male parts on the inverter body. Has the thread been changed or something?
2 I rather foolishly plugged in the comm plug. I cannot for the life of me get it out again. Turning the lock release collar no matter how forcibly does not help. I do not need the comm port at the moment but am intending to fit an 11p ev charger which needs to plug into the comm port for full functionality. Any suggestions?
