Incorrect production / consumption data reported by inverter?

Hi all.

I’m looking for a steer on whether there is an issue with the data coming from our inverter. The installation was new earlier this week so I’m not 100% sure what I should be expecting to see.

However, on day 1 the app was reporting production data and what seemed a normal amount of consumption. Since then, no production has been reported for any day and a very high consumption figure about 3 times what we would expect to see in a day.

All devices are reported as being online and there are no error codes on the inverter. When I check the inverter display though, it’s reporting zero in the “Inverter Yield” section for PV, Charge, Discharge & EPS, so I think the app is simply receiving incorrect data from the inverter. There is data shown for other stats on the inverter.

I’ve attached some screenshots showing the app Home Screen with no production on the graph since 18th Aug and insanely high consumption figures plus a couple of individual day’s figures for 18th when the installation was done and PV production was reported and today where production is zero. I assume the consumption figure is just a maths issue as other data is incorrect.

Apologies for the essay, I’m just trying to understand if what we’re seeing is normal or not so I can begin to get my head round all the new equipment. And if not normal, whether it’s likely to be with the underlying inverter data or the app itself - I suspect the former.

The only equipment connected to the system is what’s shown in my signature.

Thanks in advance
Vanessa

Hi something is wrong, not least if you have check the inverter status on the panel and it is showing zero production that’s not correct.

On the app on the homepage if you click the ‘Daily Consumption’ box it will take you to to the analysis and at the bottom of that page under Statistics is the graph that shows the main sensor readings - can you screenshot and include those for the 18th and 23rd please.

On the inverter screen what does the display say, what LED’s are lit, and is the > symbol on the right hand side under the screen (looks like a play button) showing green ?

Thanks for the response.

The > icon on the inverter is green. There is what I assume is a WiFi icon, which is blue. The ! icon is unlit. I’ve tightened up a couple of loose cables going into the inverter, but it hasn’t made any difference.

Screenshots below as requested, the first one is the 18th - the installation was completed around 1pm, looking at the graph it appears things may have gone wrong around 7pm that evening when everything becomes unchanging? Unsure why there is a sudden spike around 2pm on the second screenshot.

I emailed the installer about it on Friday with no response so far.

Thanks

Inverter main display as follows. The 226w Power figure never changes. I believe the battery SOC figure is being correctly reported.

Ok, yes it appears to flat line on the evening of the install.

With it being a new install my first suggestion would be to do a full shutdown, restart - there is a video in the guides that helps with that, but basically if you are comfortable to do it, it is PV isolator off, AC off, battery off - wait for the screen to go blank and then reverse that so battery on, AC on, then PV on after waiting/checking it should go on-line- alternatively wait for your installer to get in touch, it’s very likely that your inverter needs it’s firmware updating

Cheers. I’ll message them again tomorrow ref. the firmware and if they’re still slow to respond I’ll give the restart a go, scary as it sounds :?
Thanks for the pointers
