Hi All,

This could just be a misunderstanding from my perspective. But my inverter won't seem to stay on Self-Use.
It keeps hopping back over to Back-Up. I have no schedules set or anything.
I only have a ModBus connection to Home Assistant and the Axle VPP integration which does not have anything scheduled for the moment (there is one this evening).

I currently have no schedule set as the solar we are getting means I need no import, I am running fully self reliant for the past few months.

Just wondering why it's doing this, or is this expected?

If it’s not you doing it in HA by an automation, or it is in your schedules, I would have thought it must be the Axle VPP control that is setting the default workmode to Backup i.e. the one used in between schedules.

Backup workmode is basically Self Use but it will not allow the battery to discharge to maintain it’s charge.

Oh I see - so they are doing that because there is an event this evening and they want the battery at 100% before it gets dumped.
