Is USR-TCP232-304 more reliable than Waveshare with Fox-ESS-Modbus?

I have been struggling to get my Waveshare ethernet wifi RS485 adapter to stay connected to both Home Assistant and my KH7 inverter. After much playing around with the Waveshare settings I finally got it connected yesterday, and it stayed connected for maybe 16 hours, but it has just failed with the same errors that I was experiencing before.
The web UI for the Waveshare is also usually very slow to respond - 10-15 seconds when selecting a menu item, for example.
I am using the FoxESS-Modbus integration, and the Waveshare adapter is connected via ethernet. The pattern seems to be that it (eventually) connects to the Waveshare, retrieves the values for Force Charge and Force Discharge, then reports alot of "became unavailable" messages, and none of the other Control or Sensor data is populated.
These are the two most common errors that I see in the Activity log:

I was wondering whether anyone had any comparative experience of the USR-TCP232-304 as an alternative to the Waveshare, as I was wondering whether it might be more reliable?
