App offline (no blue light on inverter), but foxesscloud.com website has still captured overnight data - how?

Last night the Fox iphone app said the system was offline, and indeed the inverter had no blue light showing. Yet somehow the foxcloud website was able to show me what happened with battery charging etc during the night - how can the website get its data but the app is offline?
