Hi. I hope that you can help me. We had problems with batteries charging properly, so the complany who installed them came and changed them yesterday. That is all good now, but it seems to have knocked the solar power off. At the moment (the only bright day of sunshine) our solar power is registering 0 watts on the app, and hasn't worked since the engineer left. He had to go through a whole lots of updates, to check that the battery is all good.

we have checked the inverter, and it it showing that the voltage produced on the various Panels, but no current- see screenshot. Any ideas if there is anything that we can do? The system was fitted in July this year.

It sounds as if the DC isolator has been left open which will have been opened to change the battery, you may have a rotary switch near the inverter labelled PV, DC or Solar - if you have it should be turned on or ‘1’, if you don’t have a DC switch there will be a rotary black switch on the bottom of the inverter on the left hand side, this should be turned to the on or ‘1’ position.

Thanks for replying. I checked those this morning. They all seem to be on.

Bingo!

Even though some Inverters have their own PV isolator switch, it is quite common to have the 2nd one on the wall (I have same)

Now you just need some Sunshine

Thanks so much. I will switch that on, and see what happens tomorrow.

(Hopefully come March, there will be sunshine...... non stop rain for the next few weeks )

Dave did call out that Inverter switch above, but so easily missed.
If the Sun does peek around a cloud, it should at least register a blip now

We had a day of Sun today, (made a nice 18.8kWh) but fear similar Weather for next few weeks also.
