Force Discharge vs Export Limit (KH10 + EQ4800 42kw)

Curious to know what happens if you have a force discharge schedule for 2 hours with a discharge limit of (lets say) 10kw, but then a system export limit of (lets say) 3kw.
I want to force discharge no more than a few KW to the grid, but want to discharge more than that to cover any house load if required. If I set force discharge to 3kw, my understanding is that a house load > 3kw will result in grid draw.
So what happens if:
House load: 2kw
Force Discharge limit: 10kw
Export Limit: 3kw
Does it simply discharge 5kw (2kw to house, 3kw to grid)?

The Force Discharge Wattage value is to put it more accurately, you asking the Inverter to make xxx Watts worth of AC, it then will use xxx + a conversion loss of DC to make this value.
However, if you have a lower export limit, then it will use less DC power, unless your house demands power.
For my KH7, with 7kW, if I set a force discharge it will convert say 7.2kW of DC (guesstimate value, it is around 98% efficency at this power) into 7kW of AC IIRC. However, my my hard coded export limit for my local grid has me capped at 3.9kW, so it will say use 4.4kW of the DC power to supply my house load, and the 3.9kW of AC will flow to grid as export.

Cheers. I didn't get a chance to download it and unzip it as I was at work.
Just watched it. It does look like exactly what I am after, but the ability to change it would be nice as that seems to be an installer setting. So it seems it's all completely possible to have it do what I want, but I have to raise a support ticket to make changes vs change it with the app. I was thinking that having this as a new Work Mode would allow it to be scheduled like the other work modes.

24s in, the Quick Launch menu you can change the Export values yourself.
I am not sure of your Country, but in UK we are not allowed to just export whatever we like. So if 5000 Watts is allowed for you, then you only really need to set this value and then you can schedule Force Discharge and the system will adhere to the Export value and dynamically adjust production to cover your Load (Home) as needed.
Curious Questions...
What Inverter capacity do you have?
And what Export limit do you have, if your Country enforces limits?

Oh thanks! I was looking at the web version that does not have it, but the mobile app does!
I will have a play now. In Australia if we have 3-Phase we can just about export what we want. My system is AC coupled because where we needed to put the battery would have required re-doing the DC wiring from the panels, so I am only limited to my 10kw inverter rather than the 15kw for the battery.

I am very jealous of your 3-Phase that's for sure
Glad you have found the export limit in mobile App, so hopefully you can set something now. Given you have 10kW potential in your Inverter, I think you can set your export to 5-10kW depending on how much you wish to pump to grid.
Good news is that even if you set export at 10kW, the "House" always wins like a Casino, so if you had 3kW load, then 7kW would be exported if set to 10kW export. I am sure you can now play about with settings and see how it reacts by checking results.
Best of luck!
