Hello!
I have KH 10.5 with a full stack of ECS4800 batteries at the following versions:
Master 1.41
Slave 1.01
Manager 1.37
BMS 1.013
Also have three strings of solar panels.
I use a modbus connection to home assistant where I do all my tweaking and automations, so that being reliable is important to me. It has been!
I run whole house off of EPS output, have a ground rod. Only car charger is off a henley block and not seen by inverter.
As discussed in another post, I have managed to be able to switch my grid connection over to be fed from a generator for emergencies. This required no relaxing of safety settings. Licensed electrician consulted on my plans and did the work and signed off on it.
I feel that since we now get change logs from FoxESS I can decide for myself going forward, once I'm up-to-date, when I want to update. But right now everything is working pretty well so I'm just checking in to see if any expert on here (especially one who has KH like jedi master William Eccles) if there are still any quirks that are better on my old firware than on what I would receive if I request an update today. Any nagging issues that would make you advise me to stick to what I have until something gets sorted out???
Thanks for any insights!

Given your statement here, I would suggest you think long and hard about making changes to a working system. I am sure you are well aware of the "if it ain't broke" classic saying, and since you state reliability is number one, I would stay as you are.UK_KH_User123 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 06, 2026 2:38 pm I use a modbus connection to home assistant where I do all my tweaking and automations, so that being reliable is important to me. If you have been lurking on the forum for a bit, then you will see that the new FW behaviour for some is causing headaches, depending on their needs, but perfect for others.
As you do say though, if you read the new changelogs that are being made public for the first time, and feel comfortable, then by all means go ahead.
It will all come down to your decision of reliability vs. possible new fixes that have been applied that could increase overall stability.
Thank you MaterialBarracuda48. Yes, I'm hoping for a few more opinions whether it might be perfect for me or not!
It's probably not good to stay too far behind for long unless you just unplug the data logger and be on your own, frozen in time.

I am a sucker for the latest versions of things
As you say, maybe not a good idea to get too far behind, I would let the fools like me rush in, and then load it.

I think the answer in Feb 2026 is 'no' ... keep waiting!
